KOTA KINABALU: Barisan Nasional (BN) Sabah is expected to launch its election manifesto soon.
According
to BN Sabah chief Datuk Seri Musa Aman, the manifesto is in fact a
supplementary manifesto to the one launched by its chairman, Datuk Seri
Najib Tun Razak, yesterday.
Musa, who was met after officiating at
the Astro Kasih Beautiful’s Malaysia Guinness World Records attempt for
the longest underwater clean-up here yesterday, also said that BN Sabah
had finalised its list of proposed candidates for the 13th general
election.
“Yes there are new faces … the list is finalized and it
is up to the BN chairman to make the decision on who would contest,” he
said when asked if the list of candidates for Sabah was ready.
On
the BN manifesto, Musa said it gave the rakyat a big promise and he
believes that the whole nation is waiting to hear what it entails.
“I
believe the manifesto records the government’s achievements, promises
fulfilled and many more that is people centric. The rakyat can see for
themselves how concerned BN is of their welfare and what it has done so
far is for their future,” he stressed.
To a question on BN Sabah’s preparations for the election, Musa said they had been preparing for the election for a long time.
“What
is important is that all the Sabah BN component parties have a good
working relationship and are always in consultation to ensure that the
coalition’s candidates will be victorious in the election.
“We are
lucky to have a Prime Minister who is concerned about the nation and
this allows us to live in peace and harmony,” he said.
